In Bhanjyang, there is the Statue of Iman Singh Chemjong, an explorer of the Kirat language, literature, and culture, who is the elder. Similarly, there is Shankheshwar Mahadev temple on the road to Rajarani. The conch-shaped 18-feet tall temple has idols of Kirateswara, Buddha, and Shiva on the arms.

At a distance of 10 km from Bhedetar is the Simsuwa Waterfall (Namaste Jharana). Cannoning is done there. The main waterfall is 55 meters long.

Bhedetar
Bhedetar is perfect for enjoying cool weather in summer. Bhedetar (1,420 m) on the border of Sunsari and Dhankuta has a lot to enjoy. There is no shortage of hotels and restaurants for comfortable accommodation and food.

At a distance of 3 km from Bhedetar is the Pathivara temple. The four-storied temple was built in the year 1991. Near the temple is the Sangurigadhi which was built by the Limbu King Sayok Hang. In the Gadhi area, there are Nishan Devi, Siddha Sikari, Baghbhairav, Panchkanya, Budhasubba, and Saptarani.

Namje is 4 km from Bhedetar. Namje came into the limelight after the American news organization CNN put it on the list of 12 must-visit villages in the world. Organic cuisine, Magar culture, and spirit dwellings are the specialties there. An American architect has built a house where the soul lives. It is a mass grave made by collecting stones from 213 graves where Magar’s ancestors were buried.

Since the 1930s, the discussion of Vedetaar has been heated. At that time, the Dharan-Dhankuta road started to be dug. At that time, sheep from Sankhuwasabha, Taplejung, Bhojpur, and other districts were brought to Dharan by walking. He was kept in a sheepfold. It was called Vedetatar because it was a tar that kept and grazed sheep when the British Crown Prince Charles came to Vedetatar in 1981. He climbed Shailung Danda (1,470m) above the market and from there saw Mount Kumbhakarna, Everest, and Makalu. Today that place is called Charles Point.
How to reach Bhedetar: Kathmandu-Dharan 550 km. Dharan-Bhedetar 17 km. Deluxe Bus to Dharan departs from Kathmandu at five in the morning and three in the afternoon. 12 hours by bus. To go to Bhedetar from Dharan, you have to take a bus to Dhankuta or Rajarani or make a reservation.

Barah Kshetra
The main four dhams of Hindus in Nepal are Pashupat Kshetra, Ruru Kshetra, Mukti Kshetra, and Barah Kshetra. Baraha, the third incarnation of Lord Vishnu. According to the story, the demon Hiranyaksha stole the earth and brought it to the underworld. At that time, Vishnu took the Baraha avatar to protect the earth and the Vedas. After slaying the demon, he settled down at the confluence of the Koka and Kaushiki rivers.

Now there is a temple at the confluence of that river. Bathing in Koka and Kosi Sangam is done to save the ancestors. There are temples of Barah on the banks of the river.

Normal food and accommodation are available in the settlement. There are some hospices. A classy hotel seems essential. On the other hand, there are good hotels in Dharan Bazar. If you go from Dharan by reserve vehicle, you can go around Chatra and Barahkshetra and return to Dharan in time.

In July, a religious fair is held at Pindeshwar on the Vijayapur hills above Dharan. Bolbam devotees bring water from Chatra, 17 km away from Dharan.

Integrated religious tourism should be developed in Pindeshwar, Barahkshetra, and Chatradham. Nepal’s first Jagadguru Balasant Mohansharan Devacharya identified Chatra as ancient Haridwar. He has been living in Chatradham since 1997 by building an ashram.

The abode of Hari (Vishnu) is called Haridwar because it is on the way to Barahkshetra. It is mentioned in the scriptures that Vishnu held a fair on the Kausiki coast. In memory of that, Devacharya held the Kumbh Pindeshwar festival in Chatra for a month from April 2002. The second Kumbh lasted for a month from 31st March 2014. At that time, lakhs of people took Kumbha baths. There is a 59-feet tall Kumbha pillar at Chatra.

Chatradham has heritage such as Oliya Math, Radha Sarveshwar Temple, Shiva Temple, Havan Kund, Vriddhasram, etc. Those who visit Barahkshetra are recommended to stay overnight at Chatra. Chatra market has normal food and lodging facilities. From there, walk towards the Kosi river and reach Barahkshetra.

How to reach: Kathmandu-Dharan 550 km. Buses to Dharan leave from Koteshwar and Gongbu in Kathmandu. A bus takes around 13 hours to reach Dharan. Dharan-Barahkhsetra distance is 24 km. Hire vehicles to travel between Dharan-Chatra and Chatra-Barah.
